TKG Japanese-English Learner's Dictionary

The TKG Japanese-English Learner's Dictionary (TKGJE) is an explanatory dictionary designed for learners of Japanese as a second language. It currently contains 31,766 entries, including 800 basic words for beginners and 1,979 core vocabulary for intermediate learners, as well as 123,116 natural example sentences optimized for learning, 84,092 of which have recorded audio readings. Each entry includes explanatory definitions; usage notes covering grammar, register, common patterns, and related expressions; and furigana readings for all kanji. Verb and i-adjective entries have full conjugation tables, and the words in example sentences and notes link to their own entries. The dictionary also has study lists by level and topic, a kanji index, and articles on topics such as keigo, counters, and giving and receiving.

All entries are now being checked and refined, and audio readings are being added to more example sentences regularly. Entries with newly recorded examples are marked on the Recent page.
